Ancient farmhouse situated in the woodsy and peaceful park of Chateau de Keralier (1670) with a very quiet flowery and sun-filled private garden and a spacious terrace. Inside and outside renovation of the house completed in 2009. It is situated on the Rhuys Peninsula near : On the Gulf of Morbihan side, family beaches, the first ones 500 meters away and another one 800 meters away with children's playground. These beaches are easily reachable by the coastal foot path which also allows leisurely walks and trekking all around the Rhuys Peninsula ; On the Atlantic Ocean side of the peninsula, large sand beaches are 3km away.
The Gulf of Morbihan is enriched by its historical and cultural heritage. Among its numerous ancient monuments, some are pre-eminently outstanding : megalitic site of "Le Petit Mont" built between the years 5000 and 2600 BC, 11th century Abbey of St.Gildas de Rhuys
which is still active, 13th century Castle of Suscinio and Caden Manor,...
There are many other protected locations in the vicinity of the Gulf such as : Vannes, the ancient capital city of Morbihan which was a port, fortifyied by the Gallo-Romans over 2000 years ago; Rochefort-en-Terre, a 16/17th century perfectly preserved village ; the 12th century city of Auray and its port of St.Goustan (where Benjamin Franklin secretly landed to seek help from French king Louis XVI) ; the famous Carnac megalithic stone row, Quiberon Peninsula, 15km off shore from main land ; Gulf Islands which are reachable by tourist boats from Port Navalo : Ile aux Moine, Ile d'Arz,..., Belle-Ile.
