Monaco is a sovereign state at the foot of the Southern Alps. There are many gardens to discover such as the exotic garden and the grotto of the observatory that is 196 feet below the ground, the zoological gardens, the japanese gardens or even the St Martin gardens. You can go for walks along rocky paths or through the alleyways in the town centre, both ways with a stunning view of the port. A very popular itinerary is the route that goes from Condamine to the Moneghettis.
DESTINATIONS SUGGESTED
Monaco is divided up into 10 districts. Monte-Carlo is one of the most famous and populated districts of the city. You must not miss the Monte-Carlo casino, the opera, the Café de Paris, or the national art gallery. The Larvotto is very popular during the summer and there are many galas that take place there. The beach attracts people of all ages. The Condamine is a must to see: as well as the charms of its market, you will also be able to appreciate the authenticity of the region, where some older people speak Monégasque. It is also the place where you can visit the Hercules port, which is the starting point of the Monte-Carlo rally.
