The house is part of a stronghold dating back to 16th Century, called “ I Fontanini” characterized by the presence of water sources. Located 45 km/27 miles from Modena and Bologna, 650 m. /1710 ft. above sea level, and surrounded by 6 hectares of fruit groves, chestnut woods and lawns to enjoy, the Tower offers a breathtaking view over the valleys and mountains of the Apennines. The property is therefore very peaceful, perfect for relaxing or taking long walks in the woods. The nearest golf club is 15 miles (25km) from the house. The antique village of Montombraro, with its shops, swimming pool and tennis courts is at a walking distance.
Emilia Romagna is well known for its good food and wine production, and in the immediate surroundings there are several restaurants that serve delicious food and wine. Florence, Ravenna and Parma are only 74 miles (120km) far away, therefore 1 day visits are possible.
It is a 15 metre high dove-cote tower, recently restored and it is on 5 floors.
It is situated at the edge of our chestnut wood and offers a magnificent view on the mountains of the Apennines.
