Comfortable 19th century renovated duplex apartment (70m2) located in the heart of the city centre in Alfama. Alfama is one of the oldest and most authentic districts in Lisbon. This holiday home is centrally situated close to the best restaurants, charming cafés, wine shops and fado houses where the Portugal’s national music “fado” is performed. The nicely decorated bedrooms can be reached by a steep small stair. The apartment is cosy decorated with paintings of Picasso and Joan Miró. From one bedroom and the living room you have a magnificent view of the majesty of the Tagus river; one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe and the old blacksmith's chimney, which was considered national monument since it's the last in Lisbon. The castle of São Jorge is nearby and worth visiting for its stunning views of the city. Within walking distance there are 3 train stations: Sta. Apolónia (100m) to go to Coimbra and Oporto; Rossio (500m) to go to the romantic village of Sintra and Cais do Sodré (750m) to Cascais. This holiday apartment has a perfect location for those who would like to discover the true ambiance of the city of Lisbon.
Important Notice:
This apartment is located on the top floor (3rd and 4th floor) without a lift. The access is through narrow and steep stairs. It is not recommended for children under 5 year or for people with locomotion difficulties.
